3C – Alana Wright
Wright joined the Minnesota Leadership Council on Aging in June 2016 with over 20 years of experience serving in the non-profit, philanthropy, public health, and aging sectors.
Alana’s background includes service as an independent consultant as well as 7 years with Greater Twin Cities United Way – Minnesota’s largest non-government source of nonprofit funding – as both a Director and Manager overseeing portfolios in the areas of Access to Health Care, Healthy Behaviors and Independence (Older Adults and Persons w/Disabilities). She also spent over 10 years working in non-profit, local and federal government sectors where she led public health strategy, program development, program management and day-to-day direct service operations.
Alana has a BS in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities.
As Director of Equity and Operations, Alana leads the Leadership Council’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion work, including coordination of the Minnesota Diverse Elders Coalition and contributing to several external projects with strategic partners. She also provides essential operations support to the Leadership Council.
